Experience
Nine years, three teams, one habit of making things boring.
Owns the scheduling and execution layer. Took the batch platform from a nightly cron sprawl to a leased, self-healing scheduler, then spent a year making it boring.
- Owning the scheduler end to end
- Technical direction for the platform group
- Incident command and the on-call rotation
- Mentoring four engineers
Built the collaborative editing engine behind the product's document surface, and the WASM boundary that let one implementation serve both clients.
- Product delivery for the document surface
- The merge engine and its correctness tests
- Cross-client API design
- Hiring loop for the platform team
Backend for a logistics product used in places with no reliable signal. Learned offline-first the hard way, in the field, in a van.
- The sync protocol and its conflict rules
- Field trials with real drivers
- Release engineering for two mobile clients
